Google Fast-flip is an attempt to bring the news-browsing speed and ease of print formats to the web.  I don’t know if anyone will use it after the novelty wears off, but it’s interesting (and a little fun).

Get used to it. In a few years, we’ll all be the old fogeys explaining to kids how we used to read our news on paper. Every day we’d just throw the old one away and they’d send us a new one. Actually, it sounds funny to me already…

This is a great piece by former Dateline NBC correspondent John Hockenberry about exactly what’s gone wrong with television news. Namely, that they try to attract viewers with entertainment at the expense of actual news.
