House overwhelmingly passes controversial PRO-IP Act

This is a scary piece of legislation. If this gets passed into law, the government will get even bigger by adding a new executive department to police copyright violations. I still don’t understand how the industry expects to make more money by alienating their customers…I’ve been making the switch to independent music, and I’m unlikely to ever come back.

Microsoft May Build a Copyright Cop Into Every Zune

NBC won’t deal with Apple because they refuse to cripple their devices by installing an anti-piracy filter. They will, however, sell shows for the Zune, which implies that Microsoft is OK with the idea. When will these guys realize that pissing off their fans isn’t a good move?
