DRM = Defective by Design
When are these guys going to understand that getting the music out in the wild helps sales?
DRM and more plastic in landfills…I know it’s still early, but this has the potential to be the bad idea of the year!
This is a scary piece of legislation. If this gets passed into law, the government will get even bigger by adding a new executive department to police copyright violations. I still don’t understand how the industry expects to make more money by alienating their customers…I’ve been making the switch to independent music, and I’m unlikely to ever come back.
NBC won’t deal with Apple because they refuse to cripple their devices by installing an anti-piracy filter. They will, however, sell shows for the Zune, which implies that Microsoft is OK with the idea. When will these guys realize that pissing off their fans isn’t a good move?
Good. I couldn’t believe that they were actually going to base their whole DRM-free strategy on those stupid plastic cards…
