VIDEO: Drug Raid Turns Into a Loooong Wii Session →

Is your PC obsolete? OnLive brings the cloud to PC... →
Thin client + 5Mb Internet connection = no more $1500+ “gamer rigs?” For now, it’s just a demo, but I’ve been hearing this was coming for a few months now. The best part of the whole thing is that if this takes off, one of the main reasons home users still use Windows will be GONE.

How to install your old HP Photosmart 7350 printer... →
My trusty old Photosmart 7350 (circa 2003ish) has always installed automagically in whatever OS I’ve thrown at it (Linux included). Windows 7, not so much. As it turns out, you need to install the driver for the Deskjet 5550 (included with Windows 7), and then mess around with the port settings a bit. After that, no problems (yet).

Google Has A Solution For Internet Explorer: Turn... →
Brilliant. Simply brilliant. Google has released a plugin for IE6+ that will run Chrome inside a frame, thereby allowing users to experience a modern browser and developers to quit coding for a woefully-nonextinct dinosaur.

Digsby Revamps Its Twitter Features, Reverses the... →
Digsby’s new Twitter client is the best I’ve seen on a PC. The timeline is shown in chronological order (as opposed to the usual reverse-chronological) and it keeps track of the last tweet you read so that you don’t have to waste time finding the spot where you left off (something that I feel is a glaring omission in the twitter.com web interface).

Google Fast-flip is an attempt to bring the news-browsing speed and ease of print formats to the web. I don’t know if anyone will use it after the novelty wears off, but it’s interesting (and a little fun).

Microsoft Indoctrinating Best Buy Employees With... →
How is Microsoft trying to ensure wide acceptance of their new OS? By lying to the very people that consumers trust to help them pick the right PC (the fact that this trust is entirely misplaced is another story).
Quite simply, MS knows that if they go through another Vista-like release, it’s game over. Apple and Google (with the upcoming Chrome OS) are in a good position to take even...

Opera 10 Browser Is Here →
The Visual Tabs are a nice touch. I also didn’t realize that they had a native Linux version before. Their download site even detected my 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04 and gave me the correct .deb file. Shiny!
