Stone Double Bastard Ale
This is, quite simply, a phenomenal brew.  Pours a hazy red-brown with a light, quickly dissipating head.  The flavor is sweeter than I had guessed; it has a sweet strong maltiness that reminds me of brown sugar or molasses.  Malts are well-balanced with piney hops.  The 10% ABV is present, but well-hidden.  This limited-edition brew is a bit pricey, so get some for a special occasion (I’m...

Why are folks on the Java forum so bitchy?
This weekend, I’ve been writing Java code in earnest for the first time since my undergrad days (1999ish).  Being a n00b, I’ve naturally spent a good bit of time reading posts in the Java forums.  Threads like these are common.  My favorite is the way they get after this poor, misguided fellow.  Why can’t they all just get along like the nice folks on the Ubuntu forums?

And the audio isn’t any better. I’m nearing the end of my 5-day grace period, and I’ll likely cancel. Even when I can get the audio working, the Tigers (WXYT) audio feed sounds like it’s coming over a crappy cellphone.
