When running a Windows VM on VMware server (on Ubuntu Linux in my case), you may find that some of your keys (arrows, page up, page down, etc.) aren’t mapped properly. Add the following to /etc/vmware/config and you should be all set:
xkeymap.keycode.108 = 0x138 # Alt_R xkeymap.keycode.106 = 0x135 # KP_Divide xkeymap.keycode.104 = 0x11c # KP_Enter xkeymap.keycode.111 = 0x148 # Up ...

I rebuilt my main desktop PC tonight. I’m running LVM on top of RAID1. The problem is, the second time I booted the machine my main 250GB data partition went belly-up. The boot-time error advised me to run fsck, which I did. Everything looked good, but I still couldn’t mount the volume. sudo mount -a gave me this error:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on...

I’ll make this simple: this is the worst beer I’ve had in a long time. Stay away. It tastes like someone dropped some French Vanilla mix into an [insert cheap macro “dark” beer here]. The main problem is that it tastes so artificial. Stick with Leinie’s Red and Sunset Wheat instead, as I’ve said before.
