Businesses having second thoughts about Vista →
I have yet to see a single compelling reason to switch to Vista in a business environment (or at home, for that matter).  Meanwhile, Ubuntu waits in the tall grass, ready to pounce…

Paulaner Salvator Double Bock
I’ve been eyeing this one on the shelf for a while, but kept putting it off.  I wish that I had tried it sooner.  This brew is sweet and wonderfully balanced.

Basically the entire U.S. House (except for a few Big Oil puppets) realizes that dumping more pollution in the lake is a bad thing.

Microsoft, EA sign sports game ad deal →
So let me get this straight…they want us to pay $50+ for their annually-rehashed sports titles, and they have the balls to sell ads in the game???

Red Hook Long Hammer IPA
If there was such a thing as a Light IPA, this brew from Red Hook would be it.  In that sense, it may be a good set of training wheels to break in your palate before you subject it to some real hoppy goodness.  I prefer something with a bit more of an edge to it.

I don’t necessarily see him staying on for decades the way Bob did, but he is an immeasurably better fit than Rosie O’Donnell.

BP gets break on dumping in lake Michigan →
BP is going to be allowed to release 54% more ammonia and 35% more sludge into Lake Michigan each day. The state of Indiana gave them an exemption because they will be creating…get this…80 NEW JOBS!!!! I wish we didn’t have to share the lake with those bastards. The west Indiana shoreline is just one big pollution factory. (UPDATE 8/23/2007): Enough people complained, and now...

Couch-to-5K
I started the Couch-to-5K running plan today.  The purpose of the plan is to get lazy slugs aspiring athletes like myself to make an easy transition into running meaningful distances. The workouts are 30 minutes three times per week, and gradually increase in intensity over nine weeks to a 5K run.  I found that the first workout wasn’t very hard (although I have been putting a few miles on...
